Presenter for classical music & culture

Presenting

For more than ten years I have been presenting classical music and culture – live on radio, on stage and on camera. Symphony concert, festival or panel: I prepare thoroughly, tell stories vividly and let the music take the lead.

What I do for your event

“Knowing music from the inside – and telling its story so that everyone listens.”

Concert presenting

I guide audiences through symphonic and chamber concerts, matinees and family concerts – in the hall and, if required, for radio at the same time. Well prepared, with stories about the works and the people behind them, and always keeping the music at the centre.

Gala & festival

Anniversaries, festival openings, award ceremonies and competitions: I hold the evening together, react live to whatever happens and give artists and hosts the space they need.

Panels & artist talks

Pre-concert talks, lecture recitals, panel discussions and artist interviews – in German, English or French. As a journalist I research thoroughly; as a musician I ask the questions musicians enjoy answering.

Presenting with music

I am a trained pianist. On request I play the piano myself: a theme you will recognise later in the orchestra, a small encore, a musical bridge between two items.

Presenting with music

What a presenter at the piano can do: before the orchestra plays, I play the theme – and the audience listens differently afterwards. Hear for yourself how I sounded as a pianist.
