WDR 3 Konzert, WDR 3 Tonart, ARD Konzert – and live in the concert hall. As a trained pianist, I know what happens on stage before I talk about it.

From the piano to the microphone

Before I went to the microphone, I sat here.

With the Habanera Duo I played in the remotest corners of North Rhine-Westphalia, but also at festivals in Europe and the USA. My life's dream was to play with an orchestra just once – Saint-Saëns, Piano Concerto in G minor. After that I changed course: to music journalism, to radio, to film.

Today I present for WDR 3 and ARD, make films for ARTE and teach at universities. I have never quite left the piano.
